Introduction

You can call me The Interpreter. This blog will not be about my life, my problems, or my clever-yet-quirky replies to the latest article in the New York Times. Instead, Every Mouse Matters will be about the lives of my natural neighbors, and yours, too.

The goal of Every Mouse Matters is to give animals a chance to blog about what is important to them. What do they have to say to the world?

It took some coaxing, but I found six willing individuals to share their lives with the internet community. A couple even expressed interest in addressing humans for reasons beyond journaling their lives. They have things to say to us.

My role will be to act as a translator for each participant. Just to note, I may need to add my own thoughts on their predicaments once in a while, as it is hard for many animals to grasp the big picture about what is causing the problems in their lives. In such cases I will be certain to differentiate my comments from those of the true author, so that readers can know for sure who is saying what.

In addition to all this, I will post ideas of how you can help out the animals you will get to know through this site whenever I come across something good. If we all help out in at least a small way, together it will add up to something big.

People often seem to think that they can ignore the animal community. However, animals do not share that luxury. They cannot ignore us. We influence their lives and encroach upon their homes more and more every day.

This blog serves as a reminder that there is more going on in the world than our own lives. More even than the life of the human race. Take some time every day to look at the world from a different perspective - a very different perspective. You might be surprised at what you will learn from a creature with a hundred times less brain power than you have.

Look for regular posts to begin in one to two weeks. We hope to see you then!
